In class we talked about the American Revolution. The Revolution began in 1775 and lasted until 1783. The US war of Independence was between Britain and the United States. Issues between the British colony residents and the colonial government were at the height of the war. Before we got our independence, France entered the war on the side of the colonists and began an international conflict. The American flag is the symbol of evidence I will use to display our independence. It also represents America’s strength and unity. It has thirteen stars and thirteen stripes. The stripes represent the thirteen colonies while the stars represent the fifty states of the Union. The colors also have significance. Red exemplifies valor and Hardiness, white resembles purity and innocence obviously, and blue represents justice, perseverance, and vigilance. The American Revolution effected Europeans and demonstrated that it was possible to overthrow an oppressive government and effected freedom on American lives. We gained freedom and independence from the signing of the Constitution.
